From the second crop of Space Blues, who looks a shoo-in to figure prominently in the first-season sire table next year, as he has been well supported at stud and in the sales ring, with no fewer than 13 of his debut yearlings having made six-figure sums in the ring this sales season. This colt is a half-brother to recent Chelmsford scorer Vilaine Verlaine out of Gallifrey, a useful daughter of Sir Percy and the Listed-winning Galileo mare Crystal Gal. His fourth dam Classic Park landed the Irish 1,000 Guineas and produced Derby runner-up Walk In The Park.

She is a half-sister to three winners out of the Listed-placed The Gold Cheongsam, a Red Clubs half-sister to the dam of Prix de l’Abbaye heroine The Platinum Queen from the family of further top-flight winners Arabian Queen and Oscar Schindler. Chasemore has bred stars Arthur Kitt and Lezoo from other Red Clubs mares.
Gatecrasher Girl won three races in a row and notched a decent peak Racing Post Rating of 87 in doing so. She is by leading international sire Lope De Vega, whose daughters have produced high-class two-year-olds Persian Force and The Lion In Winter, out of Parsnip, a winning half-sister to top miler and up-and-coming sire Kodi Bear. She is in foal for the first time to Kameko, one of the standouts among this year’s freshman sires, having supplied New Century and Wimbledon Hawkeye.

Formidable Kitt is a winning daughter of Invincible Spirit from Chasemore Farm’s signature family, being a half-sister to black-type winners Arthur Kitt and Eartha Kitt (the latter the dam of Gimcrack Stakes scorer Noble Style) out of the brilliantly quick Ceiling Kitty. The first two foals she has produced are Pretty Polly Stakes third Kitteridge and the placed Farhhfromforgotten, and her third and fourth, a Too Darn Hot filly and a Starspangledbanner colt, sold for €210,000 and 170,000gns. She is back in foal to second-season sire sensation Study Of Man, whose daughter Kalpana won the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes.
Parsnip was a 280,000gns yearling who bolted up by nearly three lengths on her debut at two. The daughter of Zebedee is from a deep family, being a half-sister to high-class miler Kodi Bear out of a half-sister to the dam of Listed-placed Dream Walker, and closely related to multiple Group 1 heroine Esoterique. She is the dam of the highly rated winner Gatecrasher Girl and is in foal to Lope Y Fernandez, a son of Gatecrasher Girl’s sire Lope De Vega.
Christmas Joy has an elite pedigree, being a half-sister to champion Toronado by dominant sire Galileo, and from the family of Group 1 winners Casamento and Heart Of Dreams. She is already the dam of two winners, and is in foal to Harry Angel, a solid source of two-year-olds, sprinters and milers. The cross of Harry Angel over Galileo has produced the high-class sprinter Marshman.

Clotilde won three races and ran a close third in the Listed Midsummer Stakes in her racing pomp. Mary Somerville finished placed three times, including when a neck second on her debut at two, but it is her pedigree that is the main attraction: she is by Galileo out of dual Group 3 winner Maureen, a Holy Roman Emperor relation to top-notchers Shot To Fame and Spinola. She has unraced fillies by Dark Angel and Mehmas in the pipeline and is in foal to the dependable sire Harry Angel, whose Group 3-winning son Marshman is out of a Galileo mare.
Gallifrey found only a certain Enable too good on her racecourse debut and went on to win a Kempton maiden at two and Newcastle handicap at three. She is by Derby hero Sir Percy, damsire of class acts Indie Angel, Shine So Bright and Shuwari, out of the Listed-winning and Group 3-placed Galileo mare Crystal Gal. This is the family of Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Classic Park and her Derby runner-up son Walk In The Park.
