A huge shout-out to our Tatts October Sales Team – they did an absolutely sterling job!
Chasemore Farm homebreds continued to sell like hotcakes into Books 2 and 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale this week.
The Starspangledbanner full-brother to this year’s Prestige Stakes runner-up and Princess Margaret Stakes third Breege, out of The Wow Signal’s winning half-sister Wowcha, led the way when knocked down to the Hong Kong Jockey Club for 550,000gns.
Meanwhile the Showcasing half-brother to multiple winner Bro out of Brogan, a Pivotal half-sister to Chasemore Farm-bred Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Lezoo, sold to Ben McElroy for 170,000gns. He is set to go into training with Wesley Ward.
The same sum was achieved by the Iffraaj filly out of Galmarley, a Listed-placed daughter of Sir Percy and Listed scorer Crystal Gal, who went the way of Federico Barberini.
The Camelot half-brother to multiple winner Gatecrasher Girl out of Parsnip, a winning Zebedee half-sister to top-notcher Kodi Bear, made 160,000gns from Blandford Bloodstock to make it four six-figure sales from four lots at Book 2.
Chasemore Farm presented seven lots at Book 3 and each and every one found new homes. They were headed by a Masar filly out of Wall Of Light, a Zamindar mare from our key family of Boomer and Uncle Bryn, who was purchased by Atlas Bloodstock for 26,000gns.
Those fine results followed a brilliant Book 1, which included a new record price for the stud of 750,000gns, which was given by Richard Knight Bloodstock for the Kingman full-brother to Prestige Stakes winner Boomer.
Sincere thanks to everyone who bid on our yearlings at Tattersalls over the past fortnight and we wish the successful purchasers the very best of luck in future.
Our deep gratitude also goes to all our valued team members on the stud who pull together to make these wonderful results happen.
There is still one more opportunity to buy a Chasemore Farm-bred yearling this autumn, with a Le Havre colt out of the winning Motivator mare Strong And Stable being offered by La Motteraye Consignment at the Arqana October Yearling Sale on Monday.
